We used the round LEGOs to create the stone door for the tomb. Using a variety of basic garden supplies (including planting soil, rocks, and grass seed), children create a mini scene of Christ’s tomb and his eventual resurrection from the grave. This is to make the tomb look more rounded. A mini Resurrection Garden is a recreation of Jesus’ tomb in the rock during His burial. More slender bricks added along the roof of the LEGO Easter tomb. Fill each pot with soil and leave about a half inch to an inch at the top. The large rectangular LEGO block was perfect for creating the roof. Our LEGO Easter tomb calls for a lot of white blocks. You can then roll away the stone door when it’s time for him to rise up to Heaven. Use the building blocks to create the tomb that Jesus was buried in after he died on the cross. Most kids enjoy building with LEGOs so this is a teachable moment for your Sunday school classroom or your own home.
